The Backroom for Windows Log In screen allows you to enter a Station ID and Login ID combination for communication to the host system.
The Station ID is hard-coded into this software by the programmer for security reasons. The Station ID number is also used to identify your site in the credit card network. The ID is also accessible from the POS console.
The Login ID may be accessed from the POS console as well. The Login ID can be changed as necessary. Select the Remember my Login ID box if you do not want to enter your Login ID each time you communicate to the host system and open the software. An invalid Login ID entry will not open the program. An error message stating Unable to start application will appear, and you will have to restart Backroom for Windows and reenter the password.
Note: For security reasons it is NOT ADVISABLE to select Remember my Login ID unless your computer is located in a private area.
Refer to your POS Manual if you have questions concerning changing Station IDs or Login IDs.
Click OK to open the program.
Click CANCEL to exit the program.
Click SETUP to set communication settings.
