This procedure allows you to keep an accurate inventory value for all items, despite selling them in varied quantities and prices.

	Step 1:	Program the individual item as the Base Item with the inventory value of 1.

	Step 2:	Fill in the other fields of the Base Item with the appropriate data as needed.
	Step 3:	Enter the UPC of the container/package in which the candy was delivered in the 2nd Item UPC field. Change the 2nd Item field of the POS Pack Size to 1 and the Inventory Value to amount of base items in the package (generally 12, 24, 36 or 48).

	Note: Programming the candy containers in this way makes candy deliveries easier. You do not need to open the containers to enter the items into Backroom for Windows when your order is delivered. Because you are not opening the containers or packages upon delivery, the product stays fresh and the containers stay sealed until you are ready to display them.
